Paroc sponsors Sibelius' 150th anniversary year's highlight event Jean Sibelius Violin Competition

30 Nov 2015
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of legendary Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. One of the top events to commemorate the anniversary is the Jean Sibelius Violin Competition held in Helsinki during November and December. The final round takes place on December 3 at the Helsinki Music Centre. The competition, held every five years, is one of the world's most prestigious classical music competitions. 45 violinists, all under 30 years of age, from around the world are participating in the competition. Paroc is one of the event partners.
The Helsinki Music Centre's main Concert Hall can host more than 1,700 pairs of critical ears enjoying great symphonies or melodic arias. Building an effective sound experience in a large concert hall, such as The Helsinki Music Centre, acoustics require certain preconditions. PAROC stone wool provides excellent sound insulation, and supporting the violin competition is thus a natural partnership for the manufacturer of energy-efficient and fire-proof insulation solutions, including acoustics applications.
