Passive House Paroc Lupaus is an excellent example of the combination of meeting residents’ needs and a unique architectural vision. Passive House Paroc Lupaus was the only passive house that fulfilled all the requirements stated in the passive house definition produced by VTT. It was presented to professionals and large audiences at a housing fair in Valkeakoski in 2009. It was chosen as the second best house at the fair.
The arched walls and roof are distinctive to Paroc Lupaus. The walls are made of wooden elements manufactured by Fennotalot. The elements are insulated with PAROC eXtra slabs and PAROC WPS 3n protects against the wind. The arched roof is insulated with PAROC eXtra slabs.
Large windows, from the floor level up to the ceiling, provide a beautiful view in the living room. The broad window sills are characteristic of passive houses insulated with PAROC® stone wool.
The residents have been satisfied with the warm cosy house with very low energy consumption. They got the home of their dreams without making compromises for energy efficiency!
