Viscous fluids must be heated so that they can be transferred in pipelines. Pipes equipped with heating cables or steam tracers are first covered with aluminium foil so that heat is better distributed over the surface of the pipe. Insulation is then installed over the pipe in the normal manner, taking into account the changed outer diameter and temperature of the solution.
