 Insulation solutions for industrial chimneys

Most industrial plants contain concrete chimneys which also should be insulated. When insulating industrial chimneys, the primary concern is to prevent the surface temperature of the internal steel channels from dropping to the point where the gasses would condense and form corrosive deposits. Preventing the formation of such deposits prolongs the service life of the chimney.

The round internal structures of chimneys are usually insulated with flexible wired mat insulation solutions, with special attention being paid to preventing the formation of corrosive acidic droplets. Paroc has developed a range of products designed for use in industrial chimney insulation applications.

PAROC Pro Wired Mat 80 and 100 AL1 product's facing, aluminium foil, and net provide dust protection and a good base for attachments. This provides more pleasant, dust-free conditions for possible maintenance work, and helps prevent the insulation from sagging.

Steel channels inside concrete chimneys are insulated individually with aluminium foil-faced wired mats. They are fixed with steel bands around the channels.
