FAQ
Roofs originally built with other insulating materials

Before designing the roof renovation, the present condition of the roof and the scope of damage need to be inspected. Generally roof renovations are initiated when the waterproof layer needs to be renewed.

When built with other insulation material it is also important to check the status of the existing insulation. If it is dry and seems to function as wished the added insulation can be installed as described in the previous solutions based on stone wool.

If the existing insulation is wet it is recommended to take the current parts away and replace it totally. There are no limitations in mixing different materials in the built up of a flat roof.
