FAQ
Rendered façade with slab insulation

Slab insulation is the classical insulation solution in thin rendered applications both in new buildings and renovations. Slab insulation is particularly recommended when

•  The surface of the supporting wall structure is uneven.

•  Special noise reduction is required

•  The supporting wall structure is a timber structure

When insulation thickness is higher than 140 mm we

recommend a lamella insulation solution. It is also

possible to use slab insulation in two layers of Paroc

stone wool especially in a three-layer application. The advantage of this solution is overlapping joints and no cold bridges.

The insulation slabs are fastened to the supporting wall

structure by gluing and by mechanical fasteners.

Mechanical fasteners must always be used in two-layer

insulation applications. Follow system owner's special

instructions!
