Let our energy performance expertise work to your advantage
Paroc is a household name in countries where climate conditions and seasonal variations in temperature place heavy demands on building and insulation, especially around the Baltic Sea.
Paroc's market position is to a great extent based on the winning characteristics of the company's main product, stone wool. Paroc stone wool, based on the unique properties of natural stone, is a material that is superior in providing good thermal and sound insulation, long durability and maximum fire protection. It is also non-hygroscopic and non-shrinking when installed.
In the early '90s, Paroc cooperated with the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) in building the first low energy house in Espoo, Finland to serve research and monitoring purposes.
The house only consumes about 50% of the heating energy consumed on average by newly built one-family houses in Finland. The consumption, 55 kWh per square metres a year, is only one third of the limit defined in local building regulations.
