Stone wool

PAROC stone wool is versatile non-combustible thermal insulation.

PAROC stone wool products are made of natural stone and only small amount of binder is added in the production process.

Stone wool producs are non-combustible and can be used in all types of buildings without restrictions. The non-faced products are classified into the Euroclass A1 and the products faced with aluminum foil or glass fiber tissue into the Euroclass A2 (EN ISO 13501-1). PAROC stone wool has an exceptionally high melting temperature of around 1000ÂșC, providing longer protection for the constructions.

PAROC stone wool is a unique combination of excellent thermal and sound insulation properties with a highly fire retardant material. It is used in conditions that impose extremely demanding and versatile requirements on insulation such as shipping industry and nuclear power plants

Right properties quarantee the best results

PAROC stone wool retains its thermal insulation properties for the entire lifetime of a building. It is chemically robust material with a strong resistance to organic oils, solvents and alkalis. This is particulary important when dealing with the cement and lime-based mortars associated wirh rendered facades.

PAROC stone wool does not expand or shrink even in case of dramatic changes in temperature or humidity. Therefore no cracks will form at the joints of the slabs where heat or moisture could leak.

PAROC stone wool does not absorb or accumulate moisture capillary ensuring rapid evaporation in regular structures.

Due to PAROC stone wools porous fiber structure and high density, it also provides constructions with excellent sound insulation properties.
