FAQ

Economics of thermal insulation

Thermal insulation of a building normally amounts to about 3 – 5 % of the total building costs. The pay back time for thermal insulation is fairly short in comparison to the life expectancy of the building. It has been calculated that the additional cost for the low energy concept of 50 % (a house using only 50% of the heating energy of an average house) is only 5 % above the standard building.
