Sound insulation

Stone wool is an ideal material for sound absorption and noise abatement. By using acoustic slabs in the suspended ceilings the room acoustics can be improved and the desired acoustic climate created.

Reduction of impact noise

Paroc sound insulation slabs are intended to be used in floor structures for the reduction of the impact noise as well as in the vertical structures for the reduction of the air bound noise. The impact noise insulation is based on the principle of creating a floating floor by applying insulation between the supporting floor structure and the surface structure. It is important for the impact noise insulation to have the right dynamic stiffness to achieve the best noise reduction.

Sound Insulation in partition walls

In vertical structures Paroc batts and slabs are used as cavity filling to improve the sound reduction of the partitionings.

Reduction of airborne external noise

When airborne noise is coming from the outside there is reason to reduce the incoming sound! Also here is stone wool an important component in noise reduction. It can be combined with a heavy material, such as concrete, or in a lightweight structure with plasterboard or slabs that are bonded together with cement. Mainly in the roof but the principal are generally useful.
