Marketing and sales units in Lithuania were founded in 1993, and the first stone wool production line in Vilnius was taken into use in 1996. During the first year of operation, the Vilnius factory produced and marketed insulation materials worth almost 20 million litas. Today UAB Paroc's annual turnover in Lithuania exceeds 54 million litas. - Our excellent employees and product quality have been the driving force behind this growth. These characteristics are closely connected to Paroc in general and they have also been the bases for our international growth, says Mr. Peder Biese, the President & CEO of Paroc Group.
Today, UAB Paroc is a well-established company and a market leader in Lithuania. The significance of the Lithuanian operations is well recognized also by the Paroc Board, as the funds for planning a new line in Vilnius have been approved. This investment will further strengthen the position of the Vilnius factory.
Latvia celebrated in May
SIA Paroc in Latvia celebrated its 10th anniversary with customers and partners in May. - Demand has picked up on the building market after a period of uncertainty and I have been delighted to see so many ongoing building projects in Latvia, as they speak for stable national wellbeing, stated Peder Biese at a special customer event on 22nd May.
Since the establishment of the sales company in Latvia, all Paroc products have been represented and the number of employees has increased from five to the present thirteen. Sales in Latvia today are 16 times higher than they were in the beginning. Paroc's Latvian sales office benefits directly from the investments made on the Vilnius factory, as 80% of the factory's output is sold in Latvia and Estonia.
