PAROC Clad Tape

Paroc Butyl Alu Tape

PAROC Clad Tape is a lasting water resistant butyl rubber tape with very high tack and very high ageing resistance. It is used amongst others for masking of Clad faced products. The butyl sealing tape can be used as moisture and diffusion barriers.

It is ideal for sealing the joints when using PAROC Clad products. Permanently seal pipes and ventilation ducts facings in heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering. The butyl sealing tapes are also used as moisture and diffusion barriers in underground construction. PAROC Clad Tape gives a great finish and safe installation.

Installation

During the installation, the insulation material to be taped should be at a minimum temperature of +10°C. Allow the temperature of the insulating material to adjust to the ambient installation temperature. Make sure that the surfaces to be joined with tape are clean, dry, free of dust and grease. Surface must be free from release agents, oil, fat, dust and solvents before tape application. Do not use cleaners containing anti-adhesive agents. Some plastics and paints may discharge anti-adhesive agents leading to bonding failure. Rough and uneven surfaces may weaken bonding. Product should be stored in original packaging, laid flat on the slit edge of the roll. Storage in dry and clean areas, at normal temperature, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources. The adhesion may be improved by applying higher pressure. Not to be used for bonding’s under mechanical load. Not resistant against oil, many organic solvents, e.g. mineral spirits.

Installation temperature: +10°C ÷ +40°C.

Handling and Storage

Storage conditions: +5°C - +25°C, under dry conditions inside a warehouse.
