The Norwegian defence force is to build a new station in Florø, Norway. A big hangar for rescue helicopters will have art by Katrine Giæver on its facade.
The architectural office Solem Hartmann AS designing the project, heard just at the right moment about the new PAROC print panel. Inspired by them KORO (Kunst i offentlige rom), the instance in charge of art in public buildings in Norway, also entered the project.
The main facade of the helicopter hangar was designed by Katrine Giæver, who is one of the most wellknown artists in Norway. She attended the launch event in Helsinki and heard about the opportunities that the new PAROC print panel could offer.
The building owner is Forsvarsbygg AS end the facade contractor Takservice AS.
