The REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) has entered into force as of the 1^st of June 2007. As a consequence, companies including Paroc need to take actions to ensure that its activities are in compliance with the Regulation in order to secure future supply of its products to the customers.

The REACH Regulation applies to substances as such, substances in preparations and substances in articles, their manufacture, their import into the European Union and European Economic Area, their use, distribution and placing on the EU/EEA-market.

Without a proper registration, a substance cannot be manufactured within or imported into the EU and EEA, nor placed on the market.

Transitional phase-in periods are implemented under the REACH Regulation in order to perform comprehensive registration tasks. Depending on substance volumes and certain health and environmental criterions for the substance, these transitional phase-in periods range from 3.5, 6 and 11 years, corresponding to the registration deadlines of 1^st of December 2010, 1^st of June 2013 and 1^st of June 2018.
