Stone wool, made from nature's own stone material, is non-combustible, safe and durable. When making stone wool, the selected stone material is first melted, and then fiberized into wool containing plenty of air. The result is an ecological and economic insulation material that has unique properties, insulating both heat and sound.

It is a known fact that buildings are the biggest single user of energy in Europe, bigger than industry or traffic. The amount of energy used for the heating and cooling of buildings accounts for more than 40% of all energy used in Europe. This in turn implies that the proportional amount of emissions is caused by heating and cooling of the buildings, and the big question for the construction industry is how to reduce these emissions.
