 Progress in LIFE-Environment project

The utilization rate of the WIM machinery has increased during the project on a remarkable way.

The utilization rate in the beginning of year was around 50 % both as time and as recycled waste. In May the recycling reached the goal level > 75 %.

Fine milled coke has been fed via waste injection into the melting furnace with success. This method of using coke will be one of the benefits of this technology. It makes possible to replace part of the normal charged coke with a cheaper fraction, and to use sieve rest coke from own production as well.

The investment project in Hässleholm has come along in the scheduled time. The machinery has been operating from the beginning of June 2003.
